On October 2009 the Ontario Power Authority launched the "Feed-In-Tarriff" programs to help off-set the high costs associated in adopting renewable energy sources including Solar PV, Wind and Hydro-electric. For the home or small business owner there is the "microFIT" (<10kW) program, and for larger industrial/commercial projects there is the "FIT" (>10kW) program.
